New Mexico-based Michael Kessler creates nature-inspired paintings that merge geometric elements with biomorphism. His works are characterized by large fields of color that are activated by organic linear structures that have been visually and physically woven into a grid structure which consists of thick slabs of paint. By applying several layers of paint with self-adapted, trowel-like tools, Michael Kessler reveals organic and geometric structures under translucent skins of paint.
Metal sculptor Matt Devine was born in Salem, MA but currently resides in San Diego. Devine’s sculptures are known for their clean and harmonizing aesthetic, which often redefine gravity. His artwork is seamless and evokes weightlessness, yet is fabricated using heavy metals such as steel, aluminum and bronze.
