Composer Gary Powell now teaches at the Butler School of Music at UT-Austin, but he's made his mark in music creating storybook and song albums for Walt Disney Records, from Aladdin to Toy Story, all from his personal studio in Austin. Powell will provide a very personal perspective on the business of music today and how that impacts musicians striving for both creative and financial freedom.
