Area news outlets are reporting a campus shooting at Lone Star College in north Houston, just northwest of Bush International Airport.

According to KHOU Ch. 11, much of the activity appears to be centered around the library, where at least one male victim was spotted being removed on a stretcher. Another person was being treated by EMS crews nearby.

At least a dozen law enforcement officers are searching a wooded are north of campus for a second suspect.

Campus officials are confirming that the school is on lockdown and the school's website has an alert on its front page urging people to shelter in place.

Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office are on the scene, in addition to other area law enforcement groups.
