One of Urbanspace Real Estate's many perks is that the Austin company also has an interior design division, called Urbanspace Interiors. The in-house team of experts can help with nearly every project, from a small refresh to a full-blown design. There's also a showroom, from which homeowners can source just the right mirror, pillow, piece of furniture, or lamp.

One of Urbanspace's developments, the Seaholm Residences, has benefited greatly from these interior specialists, who designed all the interior amenity spaces and at least 10 percent of the homes. Located on the grounds of the Seaholm Power Plant and at the crossroads of Lady Bird Lake and the Central Business, Market, Warehouse, and 2nd Street districts, the luxury condos were completed in 2016. Urbanspace Real Estate handled all the sales for the entire building.

Lead designer Merrill Alley walked us through several real living spaces in the Seaholm Residences, all located on the southeast-facing side and all three-bedroom layouts (the largest in the building). Click through to see how Urbanspace Interiors helped design these homes, each as unique as the people who live in them.

"The beautiful "Bohemian" chaise by Moroso, upholstered in a citron leather, is a funky, cool piece that embodies the homeowners' love of classic design. A family of four lives in this three-bedroom layout, so obviously maximizing storage space is a main priority. The entire top half of the wall unit is for day-to-day items, but they're out of sight for a clean appearance."

"The convenience of condo living attracts people looking for a primary residence, as well as those interested in a second home/vacation spot. This couple wanted their second home to reflect their unique and sophisticated taste, so we added wallpaper, tile, and mirrored finishes, in addition to replacing decorative light fixtures, to really personalize the space. We even got to design a custom dining table out of marble, chrome, and acrylic to complete the glamorous, one-of-a-kind condo."

"One of the main things we do is help to maximize storage space, especially with closets. We'll ask how many linear feet of hanging space a person needs, long hanging versus short, how many pairs of shoes (with room to expand, always), and make sure there is adequate shelving."

"Lighting is an incredibly important element for closets. Good lighting helps keep the space from turning into a dark cubby. Urbanspace carries the Italian brand Molteni&C, which is globally recognized for its sophisticated and elegant design."

"When you have views like these, a minimalist aesthetic is extremely complementary. The homeowners wanted to show off their extensive art collection and a few sentimental items they'd brought from their previous home, so we focused on clean forms and a soothing palette of blues and neutral colors."

"A storage system like this is one of the most popular solutions for any family. It allows you to create a beautiful focal point in any room, and allows one space to serve many functions — media center, office, bar, china cabinet, book shelves — without looking cluttered or chaotic."

"A bachelor with two children gave us lots of creative freedom with his new home, and so we worked to make the design masculine and textural, but also inviting and comfortable. Moving into a condo doesn't have to mean choosing from a set selection of generic palettes — working with us ensures that your home is personalized."

"A sports lover, the bachelor had one unusual request: that we find room for his three — yes, three — flatscreen television sets. The panels on the wall unit come down to hide two of them when not in use."
