Bold prints
Geometric patterns in floor work and wall designs is making a bold statement. Tile work on walls that looks like wallpaper has been seen in kitchens, bathrooms, and around the fireplace. Floral prints are also sticking around this year, to be seen not only in fabric options for furniture and bedding but in luxury wallpaper as well.

Statement kitchens
Kitchens that feature mix-and-match finishes will be seen more and more this year. While clean and bright kitchens have been on trend previously, homeowners are now looking to get a little bolder with their kitchens. Dark and colorful cabinets, bright back splashes, high-contrast marble, non-stainless steel kitchen sinks, and statement appliances will all make an appearance.

Closet overhauls
Homeowners are also taking their closet game up a notch in 2018. Having a space for purses, shoes, hanging clothes, and built-in drawers isn’t enough anymore. You’ll start to see technology stepping into the closet as people want the ability to charge their phones, computers, and tablets. Closets that feature televisions and stereo systems are also being introduced, as closets are being turned into a dressing room where you can lounge around and relax.
