Mystery grandma drummer, celeb name changes and more links we love

Editor's note: There's so much that's beautiful, funny, smart and informative on the Internet. Problem is, there's also a bunch of garbage. Here's the best of the web right now.

1. Mystery grandma drummer stuns music shop with impromptu performance. As the Coalition Drum Shop in Wisconsin puts it, "We have no idea where this lady came from, what her name is, or where she went but she rocked our faces off!" Gawker praises the elderly woman's skin-slapping skills and we do too. Get it, grandma.

2. Flula Borg and Dirk Nowitzki sing karaoke while driving around Dallas. NBA players, they're just like us! They solve disputes with rock-paper-scissors and sing terribly in the car.

3. What happens when you ask people to share the best moments of their lives with the world? They respond in droves because "picture or it didn't happen" is a prevailing American sentiment. Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch recently posed that question to his Twitter followers. The response was overwhelming. Pass the tissues.

4. PBS pokes fun at reality TV with fake commercials for new shows. This is really, really great. Mostly because the shows seem completely plausible, and 10 years ago we would have all thrown rotten vegetables at our non-HD box televisions if someone had suggested we watch them. Now we think scratch 'n' sniff Honey Boo Boo is normal.

5. Jay (don't you dare put in a hyphen) Z gives copy editors cold sweats. Jay Z has joined the ranks of megacelebrities who have changed their name post-fame. Of course, Jay Z is pronounced the same as the artist formerly known as Jay-Z but that hyphen is officially outdated. No word yet on whether entertainment writers are staging a revolt.

6. Raccoon steals cat food and makes a grand escape. This raccoon puts his dexterous paws to good use as he pilfers through cat food in an unsecured garage. The whole video is pretty entertaining, but the best part of the crime is the raccoon's daring escape at the end.

Jay Z has officially dropped the hyphen holding his name together.
