The JW Marriott isn't slated to open until February, but CultureMap got a sneak peek at Austin's latest — and largest — luxury hotel. With 34 stories, 1,012 guest rooms and 112,000 square feet of event space, this hotel isn't just the biggest in town, it is the largest Marriott in the United States.

Designed specifically for hosting conventions and business meetings, the JW Marriott contains 35 meeting rooms and is located just a few blocks from the Austin Convention Center on the corner of Congress Avenue and Second Street. The hotel will also have a Starbucks, a Northern Italian-style restaurant, a regional American eatery and a "burger bar" walk-up joint along Congress Avenue.

Despite being a monster project, the opening date has moved forward twice and the hotel is now projected to open on February 13, 2015. Even two months out, the Marriott already has patrons waiting. "We already have more than 310,000 room nights contracted out. Most of those guests are coming the first few nights, but some nights are already booked until about 2020," Director of Sales and Marketing Jay Spurr told CultureMap earlier this year.

Here's a first look at the JW Marriott Austin.

Since October, the hotel has been processing three to four semi trucks a day filled with furniture for places like the standard guest room pictured here.

Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows, which implement the largest pane of glass possible without needing additional supports.

This corner executive suite has a view of the Austin Convention Center, which is just a short walk away.

The executive lounge will serve as a comfortable space with food, drinks and concierge for Marriott members (or those willing to pay an extra fee).

The fitness room will have 3,500 square feet of equipment and easy access to the pool deck.

The pool deck — which includes a bar — is situated along Congress Avenue and Second Street.

The Lone Star Ballroom is designed for conferences, meetings and weddings. If you need more space, the JW Grand Ballroom is the largest ballroom in the city and is only one floor away.

The JW Marriott Austin will have separate check-in desks to encourage associates to come out and greet guests.

The hotel is hosting a series of job fairs to fill about 700 new full-time and 100 part-time employees.
