The Blues Brothers are reuniting for an exclusive one-night-only performance in Austin. On May 18, Saturday Night Live alums Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi will reprise their roles as the beloved musical duo.
The performance is part of the Purple Party celebrating the Long Center's seventh anniversary. Co-chaired by Kathy Taylor and Leslie Ward, the gala starts with an exclusive three-course dinner for VIPs on the Long Center's breathtaking City Terrace. Post-dinner, the public is invited to join in on the fun when Aykroyd and Belushi take the stage.
According to the Blues Brothers website, this is the only appearance by Aykroyd and Belushi slated for the year. Joining the stars on stage is Belushi's band, the Sacred Hearts.
Tickets to The Blues Brothers portion of the Purple Party start at $55. Guests can enhance the experience by opting for VIP premium seating, dinner and an after-party with music from T Bird and The Breaks. Upgraded options range from $500 (for VIP seating, dinner and an after-party) to $7,500 for a private box for eight attendees.
