A ranch of legendary proportions has hit the market in Lago Vista. The expansive property — Edgewater Ranch — was formerly owned by Texas legend Red Adair. An oil well firefighter from Houston, Adair inspired the 1968 film Hellfighters, in which John Wayne played a character based on him.
The sprawling 109-acre ranch offers unparalleled views of Lake Travis and the Hill Country.
Sold by the Adair family in 1997, "Adair Ranch" (as it's informally called) is no stranger to the spotlight. Currently the movie Hot Air — starring Jere Burns, Matthew Gray Gubler and Schuyler Fisk — is filming on the property.
In addition to its storied past and Hollywood accolades, the sprawling 109-acre ranch offers unparalleled views of Lake Travis and the Hill Country along with a host of amenities.
Situated on the ranch is a custom four-bedroom, three-bathroom home built in 2001; a pool; ample outdoor entertaining areas and a guest house. Aside from city comforts, the lakefront location includes brilliant sunrises, sunsets and wildlife.
