At Titans of Tailgate, scheduled for February 3 at Sunken Garden Theater, attendees will score stellar bites by more than 30 local and national chefs including San Austin's Michael Fojtasek (Olamaie) and Philip Speer (Bonhomie).
Other Texas chefs on the bill are San Antonio's Diego Galicia and Rico Torres (Mixtli), Mark Weaver (Periphery), Peter Sypstein (Cookhouse), Jeff Balfour (Southerleigh), Chad Carey (Hot Joy), and Stefan Bowers (Battalion); Dallas’ Dean Fearing (Fearing’s), Matt McCallister (FT33), and Robbie Nowlin (B&N Kitchen); and Houston’s Rebecca Masson (Fluff Bake Bar).
Other participating chefs competing in the live cooking battle include Tim Hollingsworth (Otium in Los Angeles), Shota Nakajima (Adana in Seattle), and RJ Cooper (Henley in Nashville).
But that's not all. Hosted by James Beard semi-finalist Jason Dady (San Antonio’s Tre Trattoria, Tre Enoteca, Two Bros. BBQ Market, B&D Ice House) who appeared on the inaugural season of the Food Network’s Iron Chef Gauntlet, the outdoor event also boasts premium sips, from craft beer to spirits and wine, and classic tailgating games like cornhole, washers, and football tosses, so you can also go head-to-head for bragging rights.
