Austin-based nonprofit Circle of Health International, an organization dedicated to helping women and children around the world gain access to health care in international crisis settings, gathered on Thursday, March 20 for a fundraiser at Hotel Saint Cecilia and to kick off the second annual Amplify Austin.
Listening to special sets from Erika Wennerstrom from the Heartless Bastards, Jazz Mills from Cowboy and Indian, Sally Allen and Jess Williamson, guests mingled over bites from local collective Mission Bites.
The beautiful grounds of the Saint Cecilia provided the backdrop to a thrilling raffle with prizes donated by Mercury, Blackmail, Botanicas Folklorica, Marfa Film Festival and Paloma Botanicals Beauty Parlor. Austin restaurants Qui, La Condesa and Little Barrel and Brown also donated to the worthy cause.
Jenna Cormany, Carrie Hiner-Berry,Kirk Griggs, Cathie Griggs, Melinda McNeil and Adam Bonds were among the guests in attendance, as was co-host (and CultureMap contributor) Diana Welch. Annahita Varahrami, Chasee Hudgins, Sarah Rosenthal, Isadora McKeon, Kaye Turnage and Rachel Hunt also enjoyed the evening.
And the night would not have been a success without the work of COHI's founding officers April Blackmore, Sera Bonds, Jessica Christian and Rebecca Plucer.
