What: 14th annual Partnerships For Children Gala & Auction

Where: Cover 3

The lowdown: It was an evening befitting a fairy-tale when Partnerships For Children celebrated its annual gala at Cover 3. The West Sixth sports bar transformed into a magical ballroom for the April 13th affair, a storybook-themed fundraiser for the nonprofit.

A cocktail reception and silent auction kicked off the gala, during which guests could bid on jewelry and listen to tunes from DJ Chris Rutledge. With wallets hot and cocktails cold, the party then moved into the parking lot turned ballroom for a special sit-down dinner.

Seth Hale of The Cowboys Auctioneers and emcees/CBS anchors Hema Muller and Walt Maciborski oversaw the night's entertainment, which included a raucous live auction and raffle. In total, the gala's participants raised more than $300,000 for Partnerships for Children, an organization that "provides resources, support, and comfort for foster children and families in our community."
