GAACC presents Asian Eats Night Market
Explore the iconic flavors of the Far East at Austin Community College Highland Business Center. Guests to the night market will begin their walk through Asia in the Middle East, traveling through each region on the continent before ending with East Asia. Additional highlights include unique shopping opportunities and live performances. Admission is free.
Flip ‘N Art Fest
More than 50 Austin-area artists and makers will showcase their talents at Flip ‘N Art Fest. Guests can enjoy festival fun for three consecutive days and shop directly from printmakers, bag designers, woodworkers, stained glass artists, plant artists, as well as skin care and fragrance producers. Anita Hill: Speaking Truth to Power
Accomplished attorney and academic Anita Hill visits the Paramount Theatre to engage in a poignant and powerful discussion on civil rights. Known for her courageous testimony during the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Clarence Thomas in 1991, Hill has been a major figure in the fight to end sexual violence against women and also advocates for gender equality in the workplace. Additionally, Hill will speak about lessons learned since her testimony, and why the fight for systematic change must continue. Select tickets are still available.
