Candlelight Ranch provides therapeutic and educational nature-based experiences to enrich the lives of at-risk youth, children with disabilities, and their families. Partnering with community groups, nonprofits, and schools, the ranch provides interactive learning programs and experiences that are customized to meet the specific needs of the youth and families served.
Three zip lines pass through a tree canopy and over a beautiful grotto with natural springs and hiking trails. When not grazing, the ranch's horses, Rusty and Comet, provide a great canvas for painting, as well as therapeutic and educational interaction. All the main facilities are wheelchair accessible, including Reese's Tree House: a magical place nestled in 100 year-old live oaks, 19 feet above the ground.
Whether providing hands-on support to deliver the ranch's programs or helping on a special project to keep the ranch beautiful, Candlelight Ranch couldn’t deliver its mission-based programs without the support of volunteers. All volunteers who work with the youth at the ranch are screened and must pass a background check. Head here to apply.
The annual Dance for Candlelight at the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs includes an entertaining night with a live and silent auction, live music, dancing, and food and beverages from some of Austin’s best restaurants. It's a fun-filled evening that raises awareness and funds to support the children Candlelight Ranch serves, as well as being a celebration of all that has been accomplished over the past year.
Candlelight Ranch has established an endowment called the Candlelight Ranch Legacy Fund. Donations to the endowment fund will enable Candlelight Ranch to continue providing generations of children with life experiences they would not otherwise have. There are many options to join, including making a cash or stock gift and leaving Candlelight Ranch a bequest.
