Pop-Up Birthday's mission is to bring joy and normalcy to children in foster care through the magic of birthdays. They curate personalized birthday boxes to recognize and celebrate each child and their unique personality and day, while also aiming to create a moment of connection between the child and a loving adult, opening a path for healing through joy. Every birthday box is filled to the brim with decorations, games, cake, candles, balloons, goody bags, and gifts for the child.
Sponsor a child's birthday box: Visit the SignUp Birthday Calendar to select an upcoming birthday request from a specific child. Due to COVID-19, online registries are used and you will receive a link with the carefully selected items to purchase for your child. Once the items are received at the office, volunteers will wrap them and pack a fabulously fun birthday box to ship directly to your child. You can also gather your family, friends, or community group to virtually assemble a general birthday box. Simply pick a theme and ship items (via Amazon, Walmart, Target, Party City, etc.) to help build the perfect birthday box. When a request comes in that matches the theme, the box will be delivered in your name.
Of course, you can always donate online and let Pop-Up Birthday do the shopping for you. Your gift will help cover the cost for a complete Pop-Up Birthday experience ($200), party and wrapping supplies ($100), gifts for a child ($100), decorations ($50), or gift card for cake ($20). You can also donate in honor of a friend or loved one.
Pop-Up Birthday also gladly accepts any new/unused party supplies, wrapping supplies, or gifts you may have on hand.
The annual Birthday Ball brings together sponsors, individuals, and corporations to celebrate birthdays and kids in foster care.
