Caring for Cambodia (CFC) believes that when knowledge cannot be handed down, it must be handed out. The organization, which has an office in Austin, works to educate one child at a time today, to make a difference for Cambodia's tomorrow. They create and sustain safe, modern, technologically-equipped schools; mentor and professionally train teachers; and fund supplies and other tools needed to teach those who want to learn. CFC provides educational opportunities for Cambodian children so they may reach their highest potential and make valuable contributions to their communities.
Raising awareness about the state of Cambodian education is the only way to achieve sustainable change. Join one of Caring for Cambodia's existing chapters – Singapore, California, Midwest, Austin, or Washington, D.C. — or connect with other volunteers in your area.
The annual luncheon in September is a celebration of what has kept founder Jamie Amelio motivated, and how she has continually ignited a passion in others for a better education system that could transform a country.
