Austin Clubhouse exists to provide acceptance and empowerment so adults living with mental health diagnoses can pursue personal goals and play a meaningful role as co-workers, colleagues, family members, neighbors, and friends. Austin Clubhouse serves adults with mental health diagnoses by offering them friendship and support, a rang of supported employment and education opportunities, a nutritious and affordable lunch each day they are open, and increased confidence through participation in the work of the clubhouse. People are referred to as "members" instead of clients, patients, or consumers, and membership is open to any adult in the Austin area with a diagnosed mental health condition, such as major depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, or schizophrenia. There are no membership dues or fees, and a member retain their membership for as long as they like.
A gift to Austin Clubhouse creates an active solution to the economic impact levied on Austin by the consequences of untreated mental illness. More importantly, those gifts save lives and allow members the chance to make a difference — not only for themselves, but for others as well. To make a donation or for more information on giving to Austin Clubhouse, call 512-925-5877 or email info@austinclubhouse.org< a>.
Austin Clubhouse's annual Working for Wellness luncheon raises funds that allow Austin Clubhouse to continue and expand the services offered for members while educating the community about their work and mental illness.
