The volunteer center, Hands On Central Texas, matches thousands of volunteers with hundreds of projects looking for help each year. Learn more about current opportunities for individual volunteers, businesses, and nonprofits here.
Ruthless Good is not your ordinary fundraiser. Teams work and play together to solve clues to find unique Austin locations and capture photos and answer trivia questions. With the streets of Austin as the game board, participants have three hours to complete as many activities as possible, earning points all along the way. It's a great opportunity for students, families, friends, and work colleagues to team up and do some good for their community. In 2017, the event raised more than $100,000 for UWATX.
There are three giving societies that you can join: Young Leaders Society ($250-plus annually), Women United ($1,200-plus annually), and Century Investors ($2,500-plus annually).
