A poetry slam just for nerds. What started as a side event at the National Poetry Slam competition quickly became the most popular side event. Since Austin has such a large number of nerdy poets, we decided to start our own yearly nerd slam.
Poets answer trivia to compete for stage time. First round is anything goes (group pieces, costumes, props, music all welcome), second round is a haiku/limerick battle.
Prizes for each round, plus prize for best costume (audience or poet), and a bow tie tying contest.
