The Indie Meme Film Festival is an annual gathering of South Asian cinema enthusiasts and filmmakers. This year the festival will screen nine features and five short films from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Iran, Afghanistan, and Myanmar. The films teell compelling stories told in different languages, each giving the audience a unique glimpse into the realities they represent. Of particular interest is Lipstick Under My Burka, a film that has sparked controversy and has been banned in India.
