Bob Ayers’ first book of poetry, Shadow of Wings, was published earlier this year by Main Street Rag Publishing Company. His poems have appeared in journals including Laurel Review, Marlboro Review, Rattle, and Southwestern American Literature, as well as in several anthologies. His essay “The Devices and Desires of Our Own Hearts:  Reflections on Blessing and Curse in the Psalms of Ascent” appeared in Poets on the Psalms, published by Trinity University Press. Ayers holds an MFA from the Warren Wilson Program for Wrtiers, and lives in Austin.
