The 8th Annual Puppy Mill Awareness Day of Texas will feature "Blessing of the Animals,” puppy mill survivors, adoptable dogs, live music, bike raffles, giveaways, and more. Puppy Mill Awareness Day will begin with a heartwarming training demo from differently abled rescue dogs followed by a “Blessing of the Animals” by Cedar Park Police and Austin Police Chaplain Rabbi Marie Betcher. The event will continue with live music from Russell Mayes, several giveaways, and a raffle for a brand new Cannondale bike from Nelo’s Cycles.
Additionally, the awareness event will feature more than 30 animal rescue organizations with dogs available for adoption. On-site rescue groups will include Cutie PITooties Rescue, Texas Sweeties, Cuz I Matter animal Rescue, Central Texas Daschsund Rescue, and many others. It will also feature an obedience demonstration from Texas Differently-Abled Dogs (TDAWG), which provides training and obedience classes for deaf and blind dogs.
