In a time of Palestinian suicide-bombers boarding Israeli buses and an ongoing exchange of bombardment for rockets, a young Israeli girl chooses to reach out to someone “on the other side.” Fate intercedes and places Tal’s note into the hands of a young Palestinian. With sarcasm arising from bitterness, Naim answers her plea to understand why some Palestinians are willing to blow themselves up in Israel. She replies in like manner, but with time their emails become more personal and revealing. Eventually their exchange of feelings and ideas removes barriers and leads to changes in each life.
