Kristen Wiig stars in this adaptation of Nobel Prize-winner Alice Munro's story. Wiig plays a housekeeper hired by Nick Nolte to look after his granddaughter (Halee Steinfeld) after her mother dies. The girl's father, a hustling addict (Guy Pearce) and Wiig strike up a troubled romance that is complicated by the daughter's confused behavior.
