Don't let the weird title scare you away. Silver screen legend Barbara Stanwyck is at her dramatic best in this tale of a woman searching for her daughter among the crime ridden skid rows of New York. Along with Stanwyck's masterful performance, Internes Can't Take Money features director Alfred Santell careful use of lighting and composition is an artistic triumph in this surprising film.
