The American Institute of Architects will present its 35th Annual Austin Homes Tour. Nine local architects were selected by the AIA Austin Homes Tour Committee: LaRue Architecture, Brian Dillard Architecture, Matt Fajkus Architecture, Clark Richarson, North Arrow Studio, Furman + Keil Architects, Hugh Jefferson Randolph, Lake Flato Architects, and Webber + Studio Architects. Now in its 35th year, the AIA Austin Homes Tour is one of the AIA’s longest continually running homes tours.
Recognized as one of the leading architectural homes tours nationwide, in a city with one of the nation’s most robust housing markets, the 2021 Homes Tour showcases the collaboration between local homeowners and architects. This year’s designs range from a house built into the steep incline of a Rollingwood hillside to a dynamic fusing of a historic facade with a modern interior built nearly a century apart.
Starting October 15 and ending October 18, the tour will offer ticket holders access to a variety of resources, including access to pictures, floor plans, models, videos, 360-degree virtual walkthroughs, plus live sessions with architects and collaborators throughout the days of October 16 and 18. The in-person experiences will be on October 17. The homes are located around Austin.
