The Bowie Project is a fresh take on modern dance, using improv, live music and the drama of theatre to create one-of-a-kind performances, every time. This hybrid experience explores identity and change in an attempt to answer David Bowie's famous question, "Who can I be now?" By using a technique called soundpainting, in which directors use a sign language to give musicians, dancers and the audience improvisational commands, the answer to Bowie's question changes with each performance. New York's Strike Anywhere Performance Ensemble will be joining Ariel directing and onstage with her dancers, and Austin-based David Bowie cover band Super Creeps will give encore performances at the end of each show.
