This will be the first meeting in a discussion group for Leonard Peikoff's "Discovering Great Plays as Literature and Philosophy." The material is available as a book, audio course, and free online video course. The course presents methods for understanding, judging, and savoring the values offered by great drama. Plays in the series include Antigone by Sophocles; Othello by Shakespeare; Le Cid by Corneille; Don Carlos by Schiller; An Enemy of the People by Ibsen; Saint Joan by Shaw; Monna Vanna by Maeterlinck, and Cyrano de Bergerac by Rostand.

There will be 2-3 week intervals between meetings to allow the participants plenty of time to read/watch the play, and the corresponding chapter in the book.
