For the third year in a row, ART on 5th will be hosting the Artisan Series in collaboration with Bombay Sapphire and their new partner, Artsy. This international contest is a search to find the next big name in visual arts, and offers under represented artists a national platform to showcase their work. Previous winners from the Austin region are Chris Guarino in 2015 and Resa Wohlrabe in 2016.
This year's Austin regional winner will be announced at the reception on September 23. This artist will move onto the finalist exhibition at SCOPE Miami during Art Basel in December, provided by Bombay Sapphire. 16 finalists from around the US & Canada will compete for the grand prize - to create a public art installation in New York City next summer in collaboration with Artsy.
