Artist David Lamplugh has created a unique collection of paintings that are a hybrid of animals in the dress and fashion as depicted in the classic Japanese Edo period. Expect to see dogs, foxes, lions and other animals in the style of cultural icons such as samurai and geisha.
The gallery will adorn the walls of Epoch through the month of August, but if you would like to see your own pet painted in a similar fashion, commissions are available through Lamplugh's Facebook page. Two of the paintings will also be available as screen prints.
The opening reception will include some adult beverages, Japanese fusion hot dogs and Yakatori grill by Chef Michael Barnes.
