Art for the People will present three distinctly different & diverse exhibitions.

  • "Abstract Absolutely" - Art for the People assembled Abstract Absolutely to showcase the relationship of color and form with a variety of Austin artists. Curating 13 artists’ artwork of different mediums and technique will create a visual array for everyone. Featuring: Aimée Everett, Arielle Austin, Dane Gudde, Erik Packheiser, Evan Runyon, Julie Ahmad, Julie Pelaéz, Malati Vasudevan, Nevena Bentz, Rebecca Gordon, Rebecca Klier, Rydia Mün, Scarlett Foltz, Shelly Floyd, Stephanie Estrin, and Ted Kurland.
  • "I See You" - Two Keys Photo (Karen & Steve Jackson), in their own words, “We use real world locations and props to create backdrops into surreal worlds that produce both negative and positive emotional reactions for viewers. Some images are quiet while others almost create a frenzy for the observer.”
  • "Scene Builders" - Art for the People has constructed Scene Builders that involve artists whose artworks are created on or in buildings and on bodies. Scene Builders are our artists who see a blank space and create & design the area to tell a story. We have North Fabrication whose motto is “Design-Create-Innovate”, ATx Muralists who create ever-changing artwork on different surfaces and ATx Tattoo Artists who create their art generated from people’s memories & stories of their life. Local & Fabulous! Featuring: Avery O, Brooke Estep-Pollock, Cody Blazek, Daddy Otis, Drib the Bird, Emily Ding, Hanz Zaraté, Helena Martin, Jacob LaPan, Jason Jones, JJ Muzacz, Kimie Flores, Liza Fishbone, Lurissu, Mila Sketch, Miles Starkey, Nate Pollock, North Fabrication and Stellar Roz.

Following the opening reception, the exhibits will be on display through October 14.
