This year’s 20th Annual Art From the Streets Show and Sale features more than 2,000 works of art from 50 artists who are homeless from the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH).
Works range from acrylic paintings to pencil drawings to photography. Every style is represented from still life to abstract and expressionist to art nouveau. You can meet the artists and shop for unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that help artists who are homeless get off the streets.
Established in 1991, Art From the Streets is a volunteer-run program that provides a safe and encouraging environment where the positive spirit of homeless people is nurtured through artistic expression.
Original artwork starts at $35 with proceeds, apart from a nominal mounting fee, going directly to the participating artists. A $4 suggested admission donation helps to cover the cost of ongoing program supplies and materials.
