For fifty years, the dramatic mural of Texas history “Texas Moves Toward Statehood” has been a fixture in the lobby of the Lorenzo de Zavala State Archives and Library Building. Now the original artist of the painting, Peter Rogers, returns to recount his experience painting the mural that depicts 400 years of Texas history, along with a discussion of his career in art.
