To kick off the new school year, Austin Bat Cave will present its inaugural Buzzed Spelling Bee for Adults, a fundraising event to benefit ABC’s writing programs. Spellers can join the friendly competition and see if a few drinks help or hurt their skills, with the winner taking home a trophy and other prizes. Local writer and radio personality Kelly Stocker will serve as Queen Bee (mistress of ceremonies).
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from Butterfly Bar (including a signature cocktail created for this event) and pasta from Patrizi’s food truck will be available for purchase. ABC will also hold a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
