At its annual holiday concert, Austin Civic Orchestra will feature jazz vocalist Suzi Stern. She will perform Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," arranged by her husband, George Oldziey.
After a performance of Bizet's Farandole from L'Arlésienne Suite No. 2 and Prokofiev’s quirky and delightful Lieutenant Kijé Suite, the second half of the program will feature popular holiday favorites like A Charlie Brown Christmas, music from Fiddler on the Roof, and the perennial favorite, "Sleigh Ride." The concert will end with a carol sing-a-long followed by holiday cookies and cider.
