Guests will experience Bohemian Rhapsodies at the Austin Civic Orchestra’s concert featuring Antonín Dvořák’s masterwork Symphony No. 8 as well as the music of Czech composers Karel Husa, Carl Stamitz and Bedřich Smetana. Dr. W.P. Sterneman, assistant conductor for the ACO, will present a pre-concert lecture on the music and its history.
Program will include Pastorale by Karel Husa; Viola Concerto in D Major Op. 1, Mvt. I by Carl Stamitz, featuring Roger Myers; The Moldau from “Ma Vlast” by Bedřich Smetana; and Symphony No. 8 by Antonín Dvořák.
