Winners of the Butler School of Music String Concerto Competition will perform with the Austin Civic Orchestra at the sixth annual Texas Rising Stars concert,
The concert features violinist Patrice Calixte, guitarist Henry Johnston, violinist Nicolás Medina Gutiérrez, and cellist Seulki Lee. In addition to accompanying the four soloists on their concertos, the orchestra will perform Jennifer Higdon’s “blue cathedral” and the chamber version of Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring,” both led by Music Director Lois Ferrari.
