Austin Film Society will present a special edition of the Texas Film Awards, honoring Evan Smith, CEO and founder of The Texas Tribune and co-founder of the Texas Film Hall of Fame with Louis Black.

Smith will be recognized for his years of leadership and dedication to Austin Film Society’s mission, and his vision and achievement in changing the landscape of media and journalism. Guests will be immersed in Texas film at a festive night of dinner, drinks, and music on a film stage featuring props from Hollywood blockbusters made in Austin.

Special guests include leading lights of the Texas film community, Elizabeth Avellan, Mehcad Brooks, Richard Linklater, Glen Powell, Robert Rodriguez, and more.
