The 30th edition of the Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival will bookend its impressive slate of films with two award-winners, with Frances Lee’s God's Own Country selected as the opening night presentation, and Daniel Powell and Elizabeth Rohrbaugh’s Becks set for the closing night slot. This year’s edition of Austin’s longest running film festival will showcase 39 feature-length films (24 narrative, 15 documentary) and 54 short films (40 narrative, seven documentary, and seven animated).

Among the highlights are special anniversary screenings, led by a 30th Anniversary screening (following a 4K restoration) of James Ivory’s classic Maurice; a special presentation of Clyde Peterson’s stop-motion animated feature, Torrey Pines, with a live musical accompaniment by Seattle-based band, Your Heart Breaks; Austin encore screenings; several award-winners from the festival circuit; and aGLIFF’s highly anticipated 4th annual secret screening, which this year will feature a first-time appearance by the film’s director.
