In recognition of the City of Austin's 175th Birthday in December, the Austin History Center is launching a new exhibit called "Austin 175: From Cabins to Skyscrapers." You're invited to join the Austin History Center and Mayor Lee Leffingwell at the opening reception as the city celebrates Austin's founding on December 27, 1839 and its 175 years of growth. Mayor Leffingwell will share some of his favorite stories of Austin's past and his thoughts about the future. Attendees will also hear tales about Austin's earliest days from Dr. Jeff Kerr, author of The Embattled Birth of Austin.

The exhibit will run into March 22, 2015.
