The Austin History Center and Austin Public Library will present a special Austin Museum Day program featuring local musician and author Jesse Sublett. Sublett will perform a few songs followed by a presentation about his most recent book, 1960s Austin Gangsters: Organized Crime that Rocked the Capital.
As a crime novelist and historian, Sublett approaches history like a murder mystery and these stories present a fascinating window into the past. He will talk about the book and the interesting cast of characters and why it is important to remember them. A book signing will follow the program and light refreshments will be served.
