The annual Austin Jewish Film Festival will feature some of the most important Jewish and Israeli films curated from around the world, Q&A events with filmmakers, and parties.
Noteworthy events include the opening night film Once Upon My Mother, a French-Canadian dramedy; Nina is an Athlete, a documentary about wheelchair badminton champion Nina Gorodetsky; and The Sea, a drama about a 12-year-old boy from a Palestinian village and winner of 5 Israeli Academy Awards.
Closing day highlights include the documentary Centered:Joe Lieberman, followed by a controversial film from the Toronto International Film Festival that ultimately won the Audience Choice Award, The Road Between Us.
In addition to the in-person portion of the festival, October 30-November 9, there will be an online section from November 14 to 23.
