The Austin Jewish Film Festival will bring internationally renowned Israeli singer-songwriter David Broza to Austin, along with his new documentary, East Jerusalem/West Jerusalem. With this film, Broza sets out to realize his dream of cooperation and dialog between Israelis and Palestinians through music. During eight days and nights of joint creation in an East Jerusalem studio, a hopeful message of equality and unity arises. A new album is recorded with American, Palestinian, and Israeli musicians in defiance of the Middle East's dark realities. The film screening will be followed by a Q&A and a few live acoustic songs with Broza.
