Austin Lyric Opera
Witness the classic tale of an aging scholar as he makes a deal with a part of that power which would do evil constantly and constantly does good. Based on Goethe's Faust, Gounod's opera will come to Austin for a few nights with a new production by Bernard Uzan. Bass-baritone Jamie Offenbach will debut in Austin as the perpetual negator, Mephistopheles.
