Austin Parks Foundation presents Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park is a series of free films brought to you by Austin Parks Foundation in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse and presented by Whole Foods Market. Each year, APF and the Drafthouse present free movies in parks all over Austin.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics for a fun and relaxing evening under the beautiful Austin night sky. Dogs, on-leash, are welcome. Alcoholic beverages, glass, and styrofoam are not permitted in the park.

  • April 5: The Lion King at Northwest District Park (Rain date: April 12)
  • May 10: The Emperor’s New Groove at Dick Nichols Park (Rain date: May 31)
  • May 17: Coco at Dove Springs Park (Rain date: August 30)
  • June 21: How to Train Your Dragon at Patterson Park (Rain date: June 28)
  • August 16: 10 Things I Hate About You at Martin Multipurpose Fields (Rain date: August 23)
  • September 6: Beauty and the Beast at Adams Hemphill Park (Rain date: September 13)
  • October 25: Practical Magic at Palm Park (Rain date: November 1)
  • November 2: Hook at Givens Park
  • November 15: Selena at Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center
