Verdict of Love is a significantly heightened romantic story set in Belle Époque Rome where three young American artists become intrigued by a young Italian (Donatello) who makes the exuberance of the sculpture of a “Marble Faun” come to life. A stranger shadows them and becomes a dark force to content with as a surprising murder complicates their relationships.
Verdict of Love is a new opera in progress. Part One will be sung while accompanied by piano. Part Two will continue the story as a staged reading.
