The Austin Symphony’s annual Halloween Children’s Concert will feature frightfully fun symphonic music that is stimulating for young eyes and ears (ages 2–10). The entire family is invited to dress up in their favorite costume and enjoy “boo-tiful” music with their Austin Symphony Orchestra.
This season’s featured piece will be the always popular piece Peter and the Wolf, “a ‘symphonic fairy tale for children’, is a musical composition written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936.

The concert will feature The Composer is Dead, a riotous collaboration between composer Nathaniel Stookey and children’s author Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) that combines two elements of great storytelling: music and suspense.
ASO Assistant Conductor Pablo Zamora will lead the orchestra and Austin-based actor Andre Martin (The Staircase and Walker) through the murder mystery where every member of the orchestra is a suspect.
