This February the Austin-based ensemble Hear No Evil will clink mugs with fans of Beerthoven as they push the boundaries of their instruments in this program of classics and moderns: Ghost in the Machine.
Music will include the recently-composed "Tight Sweater" by Marc Mellits, Beethoven's "Ghost" Trio for piano, violin, and cello, Music in Similar Motion by Philip Glass, and Jennifer Higdon's "Zaka." Unifying the program is a focus on active, mechanical, and psychological meaning found in music from Beethoven's time and onward.
As always, beer, pretzels, and other refreshments will be served at no extra cost.
