Beerthoven is raising a glass in tribute to Ukrainian friends, neighbors, and allies in this concert celebrating Ukrainian chamber music.
The concert will feature hidden gems from the art song repertoire by composers such as Mykola Lysenko, Boris Lyatoshinsky, and Yakiv Stepovy. There will also be romantic-era works for piano, violin, and cello by Reinhold Glière, Viktor Kosenko, and others.
Featured performers include vocalists Mikhail Smigelski and Elisabeta Racolta, violinist Christabel Lin, cellist Daniel Kopp, and pianist Peir-Shiuan Tang.
As a show of support for survivors of the war in Ukraine, Beerthoven will be donating 10 percet of all ticket sale revenues from this program to the Liberty Ukraine Foundation, an Austin-based nonprofit corporation fundraising for Ukrainian residents, servicemen and women, first-aid workers, medical facilities, and victims of the war in Ukraine.
