The Blanton Museum of Art will kick start summer with a party "Down Under" in celebration of the opening of "Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art from the Kaplan & Levin Collection" exhibition. This will be an evening of eclectic music, tasty bites & beverages, and more - all inspired by this colorful contemporary art from some of Australia's leading Aboriginal artists.
The event begins with Will Taylor + Strings Attached who will present some original music inspired by the new exhibition, followed by DJs Butcher Bear & soundfounder of Exploded Drawing to keep the party going into the night. Favorite bartenders from The North Door will be to serve drinks. Tasty bites from eateries including the Blanton Cafe will be available for purchase.
